On Monday, representatives from Grayson Mill Energy and the Northwest North Dakota Community Foundation presented a check for $20,000 to Amanda Carnes, Molly Lippert, and Jill Beck, all of Rickard Elementary School for the STEM Education Fellowship program. Carnes, Lippert, and Beck all submitted applications in February of this year which included an essay that outlined their goals for the fellowship, how they will enhance the learning environment and experience for their students, and how they will share their learnings with others in their school environment. They then created a Professional Development Plan for a 12-month period which was approved by Rickard’s principal, Mr. Klassen. The trio was up against other applicants throughout Divide, Williams, and McKenzie counties, and to have not only one, but three of our educators selected is nothing short of amazing. We are so proud of these three educators and can’t wait to see what they do with this program this coming school year.
