District Quick View
Located in northwestern North Dakota, Williston is a hub for the oil industry in the Bakken formation. Williston is an economically diverse, fast-growing, and dynamic community with a population of approximately 30,000 people [2020 Census].
Prior to 2021, the city of Williston had two school districts: Williston Public Schools #1 and Williams County School District #8.
After this time, these two districts merged to create Williston Basin School District #7.
Our District currently consists of:
Pre-K School Program: Future Coyotes Pre-K Center
7 Elementary Schools for Grades K-4: Garden Valley, Hagan, Lewis & Clark, McVay, Missouri Ridge (also includes Grade 5), Rickard, and Wilkinson.
1 Middle School for grades 5-8:
2 High Schools: Del Easton Alternative High School and Williston High School
