Volunteers in WBSD7 schools make a significant contribution to the education of children. Each school year, numerous volunteers donate hundreds of hours of service to the school district. Volunteers contribute in areas such as library aide, workroom help, campus events, field trips, fundraisers, staff appreciation luncheons, mentoring, public relations, tutoring and assisting in instructional areas.

Anyone who wants to volunteer in our school(s) during the school day need to follow these steps (per policy KAAB)

Step 1: Set up a fingerprint appointment with Amanda Denevan at the District Office by calling (701)572-1580 ext. 01022 or emailing amanda.denevan@willistonschools.org.

Step 2: Amanda will give you the volunteer handbook which you should read, then fill out and return the last 3 pages.

Step 3: Once the background check is returned (typically 10-14 days), Amanda will contact you.

Step 4: After steps 1-3 are complete, you can pick up your volunteer badge from the District Office. This badge must be worn at all times when volunteering, and is good at any school you are volunteering at. If you are volunteering in multiple schools, you will need to notify those principals.

Step 5: Once steps 1-4 are complete, you are welcome to start volunteering in our schools!
