Williston Basin School District's Strategic Priority # 2 is all about Literacy. This page is intended to be a one stop shop for both out staff and community to discover how we are being innovative with our literacy instruction, information about the Comprehensive Literacy State Development (CLSD) grant from the state, and information for our families on how to bring more literacy engagement into the home.

Quarterly Literacy Newsletters for the WBSD7 families and community!
While out Media Centers are an awesome, curated collection of resources, scheduling can severly limit access to books. Students in elementary typically only see their media specialist once a week, in secondary is can be two or three times a month. Through the CLSD grant, teachers are encouraged to build thier own classroom libraries as a way to increase access to resources both for academic and pleasure reading.
