Transition to Coherent Governance: In July 2023, the WBSD7 School Board adopted the "Coherent Governance" model. This framework clearly defines the roles and responsibilities of board members, empowering them to govern more effectively. The model includes policies on:

Operational Expectations
Governance Culture
Board-Superintendent Relations
Board-Superintendent Relationship: After the transition to the new board governance model, the superintendent and his district team developed interpretations and indicators of success for each governance policy. Typically, one or two interpretations with indicators were passed at each board meeting. In the upcoming year, monitoring results will be reported in alignment with the Board's Annual Work Plan.
Educational Equity and Curriculum Development: The board has prioritized advancing educational equity and continually enhancing curriculum to meet the diverse needs of all students, ensuring access to innovative learning resources and opportunities for academic success.
