On Friday, November 12, 2021, six local veterans participated in the Williston High School Military Career Panel. High school students interested in pursuing the military attended and listened to the veterans share stories about their time in the military. Although they all served at different places, at different times, and had different experiences, one thing they all agreed on was the camaraderie between them was something they would never change. When asked why they joined the military, their answers varied from not knowing what they wanted to do with their life, wanting money for college, feeling the call to duty due to current events, and some come from a long line of military servicemen and women and wanted to follow in their footsteps. After the veterans had answered all their questions, the students went on stage and shook their hands and thanked them for their service. Special thanks to Grant Carns, Brandon Delvo, Ed Ennis, Bobby Rice, Leon Brackey, and David Brevik for speaking to our students.
