The Williston Basin Career & Technical Education (CTE) Center opened in August 2024.

The WBCTE Center is an independent extension of high school classes designed to provide students from Williston Basin School District #7 (WBSD7) and other regional high schools with access to a diverse range of Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities. The center operates as a separate entity with its own Board of Directors while leasing space from WBSD7.

The CTE Center offers students hands-on, real-world learning experiences that prepare them for high-demand careers and post-secondary education. By fostering industry-aligned skills and credentials, the center empowers students to pursue pathways in fields such as health sciences, construction, information technology, aviation, and more.

This collaborative approach allows students from multiple districts to access state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and expert instructors. The Williston Basin CTE Center serves as a vital resource for strengthening the local workforce pipeline and supporting regional economic development.

This project is made possible by $10 million dollar grant from the North Dakota Career and Technical Education Capital Projects Fund, and from matching donations from generous community partners.
