Kenzi Brown - Future Coyotes Coordinator

Coordinator

Kenzi Brown

Kenzi Brown is a dedicated educator and entrepreneur who has made a significant impact in Williston, North Dakota, since moving from Colorado with her husband, Matt Brown. Together, they have built a family with two young children, Corbyn (3) and Carter (1).

For the past seven years, Kenzi has been a business education teacher at Williston Basin School District #7, where she has also coached volleyball and basketball. Her passion for early childhood education led her to take on the role of PreK Director, where she successfully launched and expanded the district's PreK program, which has been supported by the ND Best-In-Class Grant and expanded to 4 classrooms opening this fall. She is venturing into a new role of CTE Director for the district and is excited to get their new center up and running this fall.

Kenzi's commitment to quality childcare and education is further exemplified by her founding of Coyote Pups Learning Den, now in its fifth year. The center has grown to two locations and serves 140 families, providing care and education for children aged six weeks to five years. Kenzi is driven by her passion for creating safe, nurturing environments where children can learn and develop, giving parents peace of mind that their children are in excellent hands.

Alyssa Hagen - Pre-K Teacher

Teacher

Alyssa Hagen

I am Alyssa Hagen. This will be my 12th year teaching. I started my career in 5th grade, switched to Kindergarten for 8 years, and now this will be my first year teaching  PreK. I am so excited for this new opportunity.

I am originally from Watford City, so not far from family. I have been in the Williston area for 12 years. My husband Garth and I just built a house on the family farm east of town. We have a 4 year old daughter Laci and a 1 year old son Carl. We love spending time outdoors, getting together with family, and hanging out with our many animals on the farm.

I am looking forward to meeting my new students and their families, teaching literacy and math using fun and creative ideas, and most of all enjoying this fun stage where kids can be curious, creative, and make new friends.

I was very fortunate to be able to continue my education here in North Dakota and obtain my Masters degree in Teacher Leadership through the University of Mary. My husband, James, and I are expecting our first baby girl in October 2024!

My favorite thing about being a teacher is creating long lasting memories with my students and watching them grow! During my free time, I can be found spending time with my dogs, reading a good book, or spending time outside!
