Highlighting the Williston High School 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 🏗️
Under the guidance of 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀, Williston High School offers a comprehensive Construction Program for students.
𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻 & 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀:
Students have the option to enroll in Intro to Construction, where they learn the fundamentals of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and sheetrocking from Mr. Davis. This introductory course lays the groundwork for understanding various aspects of construction.
𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿:
In Construction Tech 1, students undergo OSHA training at the beginning of the year, leading to OSHA certification upon passing the test. Under Mr. Davis' supervision, students work on larger projects such as smaller houses and other construction projects, honing their skills and gaining practical experience.
𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿:
The program offers Construction Tech 2, where students delve into more complex tasks like sofit installation and building squaring. This advanced course aims to further develop students' expertise, preparing them for successful careers in the construction industry upon graduation.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jason Germundson will be recommended for Board consideration and approval at the school board meeting on March 25, 2024 as the new Assistant Superintendent at Williston Basin School District #7.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗻:
Dr. Germundson brings with him a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as the Principal of Williston High School for the last 10 years and as Assistant Principal for the preceding decade.
With a total of 27 years in education, Dr. Germundson's expertise encompasses curriculum development, budget management, community outreach, regulatory compliance, long-range facility planning, and much more.
As a native of Williston and a proud graduate of Williston High School and Williston State College, Dr. Germundson is deeply rooted in our community. He is a devoted family man, married to his wife Jodi for 31 years, and is the proud parent of five sons, one daughter, and two grandchildren.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:

In light of community feedback and requests regarding the public meetings about the April 17th Bond vote, revisions were made to the initial schedule, location and format.
𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Coyote Center Commons at Williston Middle School Central Campus (Door 5) 501 14th St W
𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞: Weekday meetings will begin at 5:30 PM. Saturday's meeting will begin at 9:00 AM.
𝐒𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞: Open House
𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: JLG Architects and District Staff
𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬: These events will be open house style, allowing attendees to engage with presenters and ask questions at their own pace. While there will be a short presentation at the start, attendees should feel free to arrive at any time during the event. Multiple information stations will be set up for viewing and questioning.
𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Presenters will be available for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours beyond the meeting start time to field questions.
𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦: The initial presentation at each public meeting will be livestreamed. However, the open house format following the presentation will not be livestreamed due to the nature of many small conversations occurring.

🔧 Year One: Students dive into the fundamentals, covering engine repair, transmissions, brakes, and more, following NATEF standardized programming.
🔩 Year Two: Building on their knowledge, students delve deeper into areas like electrical systems, steering, and engine performance, culminating in a comprehensive understanding of automotive technology.

The Williston Basin School District #7 announces a proposed $35 million bond to be voted on by the District #7 Community members on April 17th, 2024.
The purpose of the proposed bond is to provide funds for the construction and equipping of one new elementary school, the purchase of land, and to improve, renovate, remodel, construct, and equip school property while making site improvements.
The School Board will finalize the location of the potential new school soon, please watch for an announcement.

Students receive foundational financial literacy education before venturing into specialized business pathways, with opportunities to interact with local entrepreneurs and industry professionals.
