NOTE: Auditions will be held at the end of each school year to place students in the appropriate ensemble.  Students will register for either band or choir and then be placed in the correct class after auditions.

Vocal Music Courses                                                                                                        
½ credit each semester
Grades: 9-12
Description: Choirs will learn music fundamentals and perform music of various styles.  There will be four mandatory concert performances throughout the year: Fall, Christmas, Mid-Winter, and Spring.  Members of choir are eligible to audition for Vocal Jazz and choir festivals.

Vocal Jazz                                                                                         
½ credit each semester
Grades: 10-12
Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in choir
Description: This class will explore the history and musical styling of Jazz Music.  In addition to multiple performances each year, Vocal Jazz will travel to perform at a jazz festival.

Orchestra                                                                                                                        
½ credit each semester
Grades: 9-12
Description: Students in orchestra will explore a variety of music styles, in addition to performing in multiple concerts each year.  Members are also able to audition for honor string festivals throughout the school year. 

Jazz Band (by audition only)                                                                                            
½ credit each semester
Grades: 10-12
Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in band
Description: Jazz Band will explore the history and musical styling of Jazz Music.  In addition to multiple performances each year, Jazz Band will travel and perform at several jazz festivals.

Wind Ensemble
½ credit each semester
Grades: 11-12
Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in band
Description:  Students will excel in continued skills. The group will have the opportunity to perform at multiple venues during the school year.
